BRUSSELS 02/24 – Outpatient psychiatry is under pressure due to the ACA reforms. In response to this situation, a survey was conducted among outpatient psychiatrists last month. While the necessity of these reforms is recognized, the current modalities are causing significant concern regarding the accessibility and attractiveness of work outside the hospital setting. To assess the impact on the ground, we interviewed Dr. Thomas Van der Poorten, psychiatrist and chairman of the BFAP, and Dr. Nele De Vriendt, psychiatrist and chairwoman of the CGGs within BFAP.
